Conference Overview

Resiliency, microgrids and CHP were just a few of the hot topics generating lively discussion at IDEA’s 27th Annual Campus Energy Conference, held Feb. 17-21 in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. More than 620 attendees from colleges and universities, federal agencies and leading manufacturers and service providers participated in panel discussions, comprehensive workshops and technical presentations. A full trade show with 92 exhibitors offered the perfect venue for connecting with colleagues and customers, and an off-site networking dinner and social at the World of Coca-Cola Museum was both tasty and informative. Conference hosts Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University warmly welcomed IDEA campus conference participants to Atlanta and provided guided tours of both university systems at the conclusion of the event.

The Technical Program featured more than 65 presentations covering subjects including:

Business Models and Financing Combined Heat and Power
Construction and Comissioning District Cooling
