IDEA’s 28th Annual Campus Energy Conference – with a theme of “Clean Energy for the Next Generation” – brought together more than 670 attendees from colleges and universities, government agencies and leading manufacturers and service providers from 44 states across the U.S., as well as delegates from Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Held Feb. 9-13, 2015, in Denver, Colo., at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, the conference included comprehensive workshops, engaging plenary discussion with campus and industry leaders, and a full agenda of informative technical presentations. IDEA Chair Ken Smith of EverGreen Energy offered opening remarks. He was followed by Conference Technical Chair Nate Cesarz of Affiliated Engineers, who thanked all the presenters, panelists and moderators for supporting the conference program. The 89-exhibit trade show was lively and well-attended, and an off-site networking dinner and social at the historic Mile High Station treated participants to an evening of culture and rich “pop baroque” music. Conference host University of Colorado Boulder warmly welcomed IDEA campus conference participants to the Denver area, providing guided tours of university systems at the conclusion of the event.
