Why Attend?

"I went to the IDEA conference and it was the best conference I've ever been to. The collection of people who participated represent the best-in-class for large scale engineering and energy-related topics. The dedication to developing next generation energy infrastructure is contagious and invigorating."

A Bridge to the Future

The theme for CampusEnergy2024 is "A Bridge to the Future," appropriate as we venture to San Francisco for a few days of education, exhibits and connecting with colleagues.

San Francisco has always been a unique world-class city with an eye towards the future. From the Gold Rush to the Tech Boom, San Francisco is synonymous with  innovation and thought leadership, always leading the way to ‘what’s next’ in so many industries.

With CampusEnergy2024 coming to the Bay, that tradition continues. At CampusEnergy2024, you’ll hear from industry peers and experts, discover groundbreaking technologies, and connect in thought-provoking discussions with over 1000 colleagues from across the industry. You’ll find out ‘what’s next’ in district energy and leave energized to make a difference for the communities you serve.

San Francisco is the economic and cultural capital of Northern California, famous for steep rolling hills and eclectic architecture in diverse neighborhoods dotted by iconic landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, cable cars, Chinatown and the Mission district.  You’ll find plenty to do with colleagues after hours. Stay an extra day and get an exclusive tour of one of three truly amazing campuses and facilities (space is limited), or even extend into the weekend for a visit to world-class wine country in Napa and Sonoma.

Join us for CampusEnergy2024 as we convene to build a bridge to a better energy future!

Collaboration. Conversation. Community.

Collaboration, conversation and community. It's what sets IDEA CampusEnergy conferences apart from other events. CampusEnergy2024 brings together thought leaders in the campus sector to share ideas and experiences. It's a forum to discuss successes and challenges, to learn from one another and always with the common goal of moving the industry forward

At CampusEnergy2024 you'll meet with stakeholders in district energy, CHP, and microgrid industries. They come from the public and private sector, working in cities, communities, campuses, hospitals, military bases and airports. Like you, they are focused on building a better tomorrow today. Come hear their stories - and contribute your own. Working together and learning from one another has never been more critical.

Expert Presenters with Real World Experience

At CampusEnergy2024, you will hear from more than 100 expert presenters from all facets of the industry, delivering insight and analysis you can’t find anywhere else.

In panels, workshops, presentations, and forums, you’ll hear from presenters who have “been there, done that”, sharing practical, real world experience in building systems, spearheading innovation, and changing the status quo. And our pre-conference workshops will allow you to take a deeper dive and participate in conversations with experts in distribution and nuclear.

Simply put, be ready to tap into a bottomless reservoir of expertise and leave with a better understanding of what to do, how to do it - and even what not to do.

“I’ve been attending many IDEA conferences since I presented at the CampusEnergy conference in Reno back in 2010, and have found them to be the best place for learning about the latest developments in district energy from fellow engineers and campus operations staff.” – Joshua Morejohn, Energy Manager, University of California, Davis
