Sustainable Infrastructure at Oberlin College

02-20-2020 09:54

Summary

Oberlin College is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2025. Since 2015, Oberlin and Ever-Green Energy have collaborated on an implementation plan to achieve this goal in a meaningful manner. This effort has included a comprehensive assessment of building performance, fourth generation distribution system solutions, carbon-free energy sources, and the potential of integrating the system with the local community. Meghan Riesterer, Oberlin’s Vice President of Campus Energy and Sustainability, and Ever-Green’s Michael Ahern will review the implementation progress, the expansion of scope to the sustainability of all campus infrastructure, and the critical financing and decision-making elements that are moving this program forward.
